Eco Living Project SRL, operating under the Caminota brand, is a pioneering Romanian manufacturer of sustainable, natural clay-based building materials. The company was founded in 2013 in Timisoara, Romania, following an extensive 3-year R&D process in collaboration with the National URBAN-INCERC Institute. From 2016 to 2020, the company built and sold eight experimental eco-homes under the Ecobordei brand, testing and perfecting sustainable construction solutions. Since 2019, the company has focused on developing the Caminota system - a range of natural clay plasters certified according to the German clay mortar standard DIN 18947 and backed by a Technical Approval (Agrement Tehnic). The Caminota system includes natural clay plaster with straw fibers and a rustic clay finish coat, both made from natural raw materials (clay, sand, lignocellulosic fibers). The products regulate indoor humidity, allow vapor permeability, and are manufactured and distributed from Timisoara, with over 2,000 satisfied customers in Romania and exports to Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, and the Republic of Moldova.
